Week 4 Field Trips

Sunny and 75 - ideal weather for an ideal day on Summit's excursions! The older girls went first went for a lovely nature walk along the Milwaukee River, starting at Estabrook Park in Shorewood and ending at Lincoln Park. After taking a break for lunch, the girls went to the David F. Schultz Aquatic Center for an afternoon of swimming. Meanwhile, the younger girls visited Whitnall Park for a day of Frisbee Golf, volleyball, and relaxation in the beautiful weather.

The boys also had yet another adventure. The older boys travelled to Fort Atkinson for a fun day of fishing, where they learned how to hook a worm as bait, and cast a line into the water. Marco from Team 2 caught an 11 inch fish and with the help of his coach, Ramiro, reeled it in. What an accomplishment for Joaquin's first time fishing!

The younger boys went to Holy Hill, where they climbed up the 175 stairs of the Bell Tower to see a breathtaking view of the area. Since the sky was clear, they were even able to see the city of Milwaukee from a distance. After climbing the tower, the boys were led by their counselors around the Stations of the Cross.
